Join us for the opening evening of Friends of Israeli Culture (FIC) - a new cultural series dedicated to original Israeli work that inspires thought and conversation.

Our first event features a special screening of the first episode of “Sovietka,” the acclaimed Israeli TV series created by Dana Abramovich. The show, known for its sharp social insight and emotional honesty, explores themes of identity, belonging, and the tension between personal and collective memory in contemporary Israeli society.

Following the screening, Dana will join us for an open conversation about the creative process behind Sovietka, its social and cultural themes, and the role of art in sustaining free expression and liberal thought in Israel today.

All proceeds from the event will support FIC’s new development and promotion grants, dedicated to advancing original Israeli film and theatre projects with social and liberal values.
